Chaff House at Laigh Hapton is a ground-floor cottage on a working horse farm in Darvel, Ayrshire. It sleeps four guests across two bedrooms and sits directly adjacent to Whitelee Forest the UK's largest windfarm with over 130km of trails on your doorstep. This is a proper countryside escape with real farm animals on site.
The setting is genuinely special. Goats, alpacas, a donkey and tiny ponies live on the farm. Horse riding and interactive animal sessions can be booked separately. The wrap-around decking has a firepit, BBQ and garden furniture. The private hot tub seats five. Galloway Forest Park is 30 minutes away.
Inside, everything is on one level. Bedroom one has a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (convertible to two singles).
